Conversations with Pablo Delano: Part 3

September 25, 2014 · Exhibits ·

I’ve spent the last couple of days helping Pablo Delano lay out the photographs for his upcoming show, Hartford Seen: Photographs by Pablo Delano (opening on October 3). Finally seeing the photographs arranged in groups on the walls makes a big impact: the idea of the city as a constantly changing organism. Houses converted to stores, factories converted to apartments, old buildings with new paint or graffiti, new buildings added to old ones. In an earlier conversation (short video below), Pablo talked with me about the layers of Hartford history that reflect the constantly changing city.
