Early Copper Coins of Connecticut

The Connecticut Historical Society has opened a new display in the Nawrot History Nook in the museum. Featuring 23 early forms of coinage, Early Copper Coins of Connecticut is a wonderful highlight display for numismatists, 18th century aficionados, and all lovers of history. The display features coins from the CHS collection and from the collection of Dr. James P. Rosen who has volunteered at the CHS on several currency-related projects, including this exhibit. The exhibit features authentic 18th century coins and also reproductions and counterfeit coins to educate the public on the range of existing coins.
