The Connecticut Cultural Heritage Arts Program is pleased to be able to pass on funding opportunities that help sustain living cultural arts and bring recognition to local cultural heritage.

  • Southern New England Apprenticeship Program Southern New England Apprenticeship Program

    This program is designed to foster the sharing of traditional (folk) artistic skills through one-on-one teaching by a master artist to a student/apprentice.

  • Legends & Lore® Marker Grant Program Legends & Lore® Marker Grant Program

    The roadside marker grant program brings public recognition to many forms of valued local heritage across the state, affirming the many cultures, traditions, and communities that make Connecticut distinctive.

To support the effort to contain the spread of COVID-19, the Connecticut Historical Society is closed to the public through July 31. All on-site programs and events are canceled during this time. Our Annual Meeting has been postponed until September 14. Click here for CHS's digital programs.
