History To Go Bags are a great way for kids to experience hands-on, history fun in their home! Each bag explores a different history topic and includes background history, activity instructions, and materials and supplies for the craft. We’ve also included a list of places around Connecticut that you can road trip to with our map or learn more by visiting their website.
The cost is $10 per kit; Connecticut Museum members will receive a 10% discount. An invoice for payment will be sent shortly after your order is received. History To Go – Bulk Sales
Bags are available in bulk to historical societies, libraries, schools, and other organizations. Activity bags can be purchased in groups of 30, 50, 80, or 100, for only $6 a bag! Orders can be equally divided between either of the two available themes.
Orders can be picked up at the Connecticut Museum or they can be delivered directly to your organization. Free delivery is available for anyone within a 15 mile radius of the Connecticut Museum. Any organization beyond that radius will be charged a $10 delivery fee.

Adventures with Art
Recommended ages: 3-4
Jump into the colorful world of art! Children will look closely at colors, textures, and shapes as you investigate different types of paintings. Using historic paintings from the Connecticut Museum’s collection as inspiration, kids can create a piece of artwork using pom poms, foam shapes, feathers, and more!

Stories in the Stitches
Recommended ages: 5-8
What kinds of stories can we learn from a quilt? How can the smallest details help reveal those stories? Children will look closely at a variety of quilts from the Connecticut Museum’s collection, and discover some interesting tales from Connecticut’s past. Then, they can design their own quilt square!
