Children’s mental health is on everyone’s mind. Access to services continues to be a barrier for families. This year, the Connecticut General Assembly passed three bills aimed at improving children’s access to mental health services. What does this mean for you? The CHS invites parents and caregivers to attend an online, free information session about kids’ mental health. An expert panel will help parents and caregivers gain a better understanding of the range of emotional and mental health issues facing all of our children with a special emphasis on under-served populations. This presentation will outline what is in the new legislation and how it will affect services offered at schools, hospitals, community-based programs and in your pediatrician’s office. Families, educators, and health practitioners are encouraged to attend what we will be an informative and interactive evening.
This event is free and open to the public! Register here to receive the Zoom link.
The program will also be recorded and available on our YouTube page by September 12.
