Secrets of the Veeder House Tour

July 18, 2015 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm |

When Asylum Avenue still passed through cow pastures, Curtis Veeder built a grand home with an elevator, central vacuum, and even an indoor car wash. This special tour highlights features of the 1928 house that is now the Connecticut Historical Society that are not regularly accessible to the public. Come unlock the secrets of the Veeder House and learn more about the historic house and the history of its West End neighborhood. Tours last approximately 45 minutes and are appropriate for ages 12 and up. Tour price includes general admission. Space is limited. For more information or reservations, call (860) 236-5621 x289 or email Jenny Steadman.

To support the effort to contain the spread of COVID-19, the Connecticut Historical Society will temporarily close now through April 22. We will re-evaluate the situation at that time. All public programs and tours are canceled during this time. We hope to reschedule some of the events if possible.
